JESSICA MCCORMACK & THE HAAS BROTHERS

The Jewellery

Borne out of true collaboration between the twin artists, whose colourful, witty and often biomorphic sculptures and furniture sit somewhere between art and design, Jessica has reimagined their quirky creations into a handcrafted collection that ranges from diamond jewellery pieces, bejewelled sculptures, and a one-of-a-kind jewellery box.

Art Transformed

Art transformed...

These pieces take inspiration from the now iconic Haas Brothers sculpture, Bathy Bates. A bath which resembles a giant water drop caught mid-splash, inspired not only by nature and plants living within magical jungles, but also – according to the artists - the mouth of Dr Zoidberg from the cartoon Futurama. This layering of meaning, and the ability for pieces to be interpreted in multiple ways, is at the heart of these jewellery designs. Meaning is in the eye of the beholder.

‘We never envisaged Bathy Bates as jewellery! We are so happy it became that though, what an insane practice in scale..’
