What should I be looking for in a stone?
I always say respect the four Cs when it comes to diamonds; carat (weight), clarity (how clear it is), cut (the shape) and colour (how white it is) – but pay the most attention to what we call the fifth C,
character (quite simply, regardless of technicalities, how the diamond makes you feel).
