But the workshop is the beating heart of our business, and we wanted to honour that by creating a space for the craftspeople that is as beautiful as the rest of the house, but with a few nods to the often-industrial nature of working with precious metals and diamonds."

The walls of the workshop above each bench have been hung with a series of framed portrait photographs, a nod to the series that was first hung upstairs in the townhouse’s sweeping staircase, along with still-life and landscape paintings, giving the space a beautifully domestic, decorated feel.
Two additional, separate spaces on the same floor – a Tapping room for the noisier elements of working with metal and a polishing room for the highly specific skill that is ensuring every last millimetre of gold is perfectly gleaming – allow for every element of craftsmanship to take place in-house, while the whole set-up is viewable from a brand new space; the Snug.
